Synopsis

For Kate and Shale, the couple who are separated in this short film, the loss of connection is even more keenly felt, as they near the end of Shale’s tour in Afghanistan, they are subjected to a communication ban. This leaves the young married couple with intensified feelings of anxiety and loneliness while the question hovers around them, how many more times are they going to go through this?

About the Filmmaker

Melissa Flagg

Melissa Flagg is an independent filmmaker and artist, who has written, directed and produced short films, and has collaborated on over a dozen multi-diciplinary performance productions, and installations. Melissa has worked as a director, writer, and cinematographer on a variety of media projects, films and music videos. She has apprenticed herself to her field through studies at The Victoria College of Art, The Banff Centre for the Arts, and holds a Bachelor degree in Media Arts from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design.
