Quintina Barnett Gallion
Quintina or “Q” is the newest intern member of the Communications team at the GI Film Festival. She received her M.S. in Mass Communications – Communications Strategy from the VCU Brandcenter and her B.S. from Washington and Lee University. She is currently the Assistant Director, Legislative Affairs for a higher education association in Washington, DC where she monitors policy and advocates on behalf of US higher education institutions. As the oldest daughter of two veterans, Q spent her childhood on military installations around the globe. As such, she takes a special interest in policy affecting student veterans and the institutions who serve them.
In her free time, Q enjoys a good book, a good drink, a good workout, and hosts trivia nights at various bars in the DMV area.
Carizza G Rosales
Carizza was born and raised in the Philippines. Fluent in Tagalog and English language, Carizza also excels as an accomplished artist and pianist.
In addition to music and art, Carizza loves journalism and broadcasting. At the Pontifical and Royal Catholic University of Santo Tomas, Carizza obtained a great deal of knowledge on broadcasting, production and events management. She became a member of the University broadcasting network the Tomasian Cable Television (Tomcat), where she furthered her skills in production work both behind the scenes and on camera.
Upon graduation Carizza immigrated to the United States to pursue her career in the field of broadcasting. She started out at WETA (Public Television and Classical Music for Greater Washington) as a National Program and Development intern, where she not only was involved in program development but also assisted with events such as the Mark Twain prize and a performance at the White House: Salute to the Troops, among others. During her spare time she continues to develop her Artistic and Musical talent, volunteers for University events, and spending time with her family.
