So far we’ve screened Doolittle’s Raiders: A Final Toast with special guest Air Force Lt. Col. Richard Cole, one of the surviving Doolittle Raiders. At 99 years old, he was ready to party all night. Other guests, included Rep Moulton, Rep Johnson and actor Gary Sinise also joined GIFF to view the American Veterans Center’s produced documentary, which is set to air on PBS this fall.
We’ve gone back in time with a screening of Casablanca, followed by an evening of casino games in our very own Rick’s Café. And tonight, we will be presenting Montel Williams with the Veterans in Entertainment Award at the Salute to Hollywood Patriots, followed by a screening of Kajaki.
There’s still time to partake in the 9th annual GI Film Festival! Dozens of films will be screened on Saturday and Sunday at the Angelika, and Saturday night features the GIs of Comedy, the legendary R. Lee Ermey, and more at the “Best of Fest” Awards Show and Film Screening.
